Size Measuring Guide

A perfect fit for your ultra-marathon running shoes is important for comfort and performance. Follow these tips to measure your foot size at home:

General Tips:
  • Measure your feet at the end of the day as they're at their largest due to swelling.
  • In between sizes? One foot is bigger than the other? Take the larger size.
  • It's best to measure every year. Your size could change over time.

What You'll Need:
  • A piece of paper larger than your foot,
  • A pen or pencil,
  • A ruler or measuring tape,
  • Socks of the thickness you'll wear with the shoes.

Steps:
  1. Stand on the paper in the socks you'll wear with the shoes.
  2. Use the pen or pencil to mark the end of your longest toe and the back of your heel. It's important to measure both feet as their size can vary.
  3. Match your measurements to our size chart to find the best fit. If you're between sizes, we suggest choosing the larger size for better comfort.

Stable, cushioned and built to offer a smooth, robust ride in the longest trail races, the M1 is optimized for the mountains. It features our next-gen JETCELL midsole to deliver unmatched energy return, and a full-coverage outsole with a trio of Vibram technologies for predictable grip in extreme situations.

Features

  • JETCELL™ TPU Midsole: The M1 features Mount to Coast's new state-of-the-art supercritical foam. It is designed to be highly responsive, energetic, and lightweight while offering twice the durability and material strength of standard PEBA racing foams. It resists breaking down over hundreds of miles, maintaining its cushion during long ultra races.
  • Vibram Megagrip Outsole: The shoe is equipped with a full-coverage Vibram Megagrip outsole featuring Litebase tech (to cut down weight) and Traction Lug technology. The 4mm lugs provide confident, bite-in traction across loose gravel, wet rocks, roots, and uneven terrain.
  • TUNEDFIT Dual Lacing System: A standout feature on the M1 is its unique two-part lacing system. The bottom half uses a cinch-cord system, while the top half uses traditional laces. This allows you to independently tighten or loosen the forefoot and midfoot on the fly, catering to feet that inevitably swell during 50k or 100-mile races.
  • TPEE-Blended Yarn Upper: The upper is constructed with TPEE-blended yarns that are highly breathable, quick-draining (if submerged in water), and resistant to tearing. It also features a wide toe box for foot expansion and a durable rubber toe bumper to protect against trail hazards.
  • Inherent Stability Elements: While it is a neutral shoe, it incorporates high-stacked sidewalls that cradle the foot and a wider-than-average base footprint. This geometry prevents lateral sliding and gives runners a stable landing platform on off-camber trails and steep descents.
